News / Call for papers

Looking for New Members

Fancy being on the other side of academic publishing? Join the editorial team of Variations, the literary journal of the University of Zurich run by early career researchers!

Accepting articles in English, German, and French, the peer-reviewed journal publishes a thematic edition annually, encompassing contributions from the fields of literary and cultural studies as well as book reviews and interviews. It is published digitally and as a hardcover with Winter.

The team is looking for doctoral students and postdocs from the institutes supporting the publishing of Variations: DS, ES, RoSe, AOI, AVL. You might want to be part of the editorial team at large, setting the themes of the editions and deciding which articles to accept for peer-review. You also have the option of taking on a larger role such as deputy-editor-in-chief, webmaster or treasurer.

You can find more information about the different roles at Variations here (PDF, 426 KB).

If you’re interested in joining, send a brief personal statement to variations@rom.uzh.ch by July 15, 2024.
